Building on the success and immense community demand of our initial outreach, Guardians of Vision Foundation returned to Owerri, Imo State, for Phase Two of our Eye Health Initiative.
Phase Two was designed to deepen our impact by providing essential follow-up care for previous beneficiaries, while expanding our reach to surrounding communities who missed the initial exercise. Our team delivered advanced eye examinations, screened for complex conditions like cataract and glaucoma, and provided specialized eye care counseling.
During this second phase, dozens of residents received freshly tailored corrective eyeglasses, while others were supplied with specialized medicated eye drops and anti-inflammatory treatment packages. By continuing our sustained presence in Owerri, we are taking concrete steps toward ending preventable blindness and ensuring that no one in the community is left in the dark.
