As part of our continuous commitment to eliminating preventable vision loss across underserved communities, Guardians of Vision Foundation successfully organized a medical outreach in Owerri, Imo State.
The outreach brought essential eye care services directly to community members who previously lacked access to professional ophthalmic care. Our team delivered comprehensive eye health education, sensitizing participants on proper vision care, early detection of eye diseases, and lifestyle habits to preserve eyesight.
During the exercise, beneficiaries underwent professional visual acuity tests. Those diagnosed with refractive errors were fitted with free prescription reading and corrective glasses, while individuals suffering from minor eye conditions were provided with essential therapeutic eye drops and medications. Through this intervention, hundreds of lives were touched, restoring clarity, dignity, and renewed hope to the Owerri community.
